A message sent to John Clarson (chair) following the Firefighters' Memorial Parade May 2010:-
Dear John,
Please accept my very grateful thanks to yourself, and the Pipe Band, for your part in making the Service on Sunday the most magnificent of occasions. There were very many comments passed to me about the sound, and the atmosphere created by, the Pipes and Drums. It was very spectacular and, in places, quite moving. The chairman of the Firefighters Memorial Trust, Gerry Clarkson, wishes me to also pass to you, and the Band, his sincere thanks and gratitude.

Congratulations to Zach Campbell and Paul Thurlow who recently passed their PDQB Certificates; Zach Level 1 Piping and Paul Level 2 Drumming. Well done!
